..so you think you are a poet..

i'm lonely..
how stupid could I be
thinking you were for me
I was wrong.
thinking we would last
now it's all in the past
but it still hurts.
I thought we would have worked
too bad you banged that clerk
and I saw it.
now I order take out for one
instead of two
feeling all alone.
like a dog with no bone.
i'm lonely..

Shake the dust.

this is for the kids that are too scared to even try because they think they'll fail, and for those that do try and still fail.
Shake the dust.
this is for the people who think their too strong to cry, and for those that can't stop.
Shake the dust.
this is for the the families that can't afford food, and for the families that eat too much of it, and it shows.
Shake the dust.
this is for the kid that always gets picked on, and for the kid that's picking on him because he's secretly insecure.
Shake the dust.
this is for the kids that stay up for hours studying and still fail, and for those who don't even study because they don't trust themselves and plan to cheat.
Shake the dust.
this is for those who feel so tired but can't sleep, and for those who can't find the courage to get out of bed.
Shake the dust.
this is for those who loose someone that can never be replaced, and for those who feel like they don't have anyone important enough to need replacing.
Shake the dust.
this is for those who love someone but it goes to waste, and for those who are too in love to let it go.
Shake the dust.
this is for those who never search for their purpose, and for those that feel like barely surviving is their purpose.
Shake the dust.

YOU

I'm thinking about you.
I'm thinking about you like paints think about walls
like leaves think about fall
like the journey thinks about the call.

I'm thinking about you like the flowers think about the sun.
like students think about their bed when the day is done.

I'm thinking about you like fingers think about rings.
like the blacks think about eating some boneless buffalo wings.

I'm thinking about you like boats think about sails.
like Asians think about nails.
like spongebob thinks about his pet snail.

I'm thinking about you like lyrics think about the song.
I'm thinking about you long after you're gone.
